The individual that faces chronic asthma will usually have episodes or attacks on a fairly regular basis.  The fact is that these attacks will be resulting from the particles or triggers in the air, food or other substances that they come into contact with.  One way to help in treating this chronic condition is to use various tools to help in eliminating or lower the amount of exposure to the triggers that affect the patient.  By removing what is causing the asthma attacks, even if just somewhat can reduce the amount of attacks that the patient goes through.

There are a wide range of treatments in the form of medications for the chronic asthma sufferer.  These medications work in many ways, but can be taken in inhaler form during an asthma attack.  Recently, there were new medications introduced that could be injected into the patient once or twice per month to help with severe cases of asthma.  These would reduce the antibody’s ability to produce the chemicals that cause an asthma attack.  The bottom line is that there is a wide range of treatment options out there even for patients that suffer from chronic and severe forms of asthma.
